RAW MACA AVOCADO CACAO TRUFFLES. Yes, they are as good as they sound, and they sound amazing.

The inspiration for this recipe came from my love affair with chocolate and wanting to make something “healthy”, specifically in the form of an energy type “ball” but sans granola and more truffle(y). Mission accomplished.

Raw Maca Avocado Cacao Truffles close-up

I decided to make my own with some maca, raw cacao powder, an avocado(!), date paste, coconut oil, and a pinch of salt. They harden up perfectly in the refrigerator because of the coconut oil and are a great fat filled treat.

Hello, chocolate little nuggets that are packed with nutritious goodness.

These were so good, I didn’t take the time to roll them in anything! I also made them with chopped almonds in the mix. Nutty chocolate truffles! 🙂
